He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Colyer and Roy Colyer; his brother Robert Colyer; and his wife Jean Colyer. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Richardson (Marc) and Jeff Colyer (Brittney); his grandchildren, Anna, Daniel, David Colyer and Alicia Richardson; and his sister Joan Malone (Donnie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at the Floydsburg Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Rd, Crestwood, KY 40014).
