Alvis Sumner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvis Sumner (Smiths Grove, Kentucky), who passed away on June 14, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Summer and Daisy Summer; his wife Adoline Sumner (Ad); and his siblings, Willis Sumner (Margaret), Charles Sumner (Ruth), Dorothy Nell and Thelma Grace.
He is survived by: his sons, Alan G. Sumner (Patti) and Riley Sumner (Liesa); and his grandchildren, Chuck Sumner, Katy Doyle (Chris), Jacob Sumner, Alison Raymer (Josh) and Thomas Sumner. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alvis' memory may be made to Oakland Baptist Church, Oakland, Kentucky.
