He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Laird and Gladys Hatcher Laird; his siblings, Frank, Herman, Garvie and Geneva Gore; and his father-in-law Arnold Herald.
He is survived by: his wife Reva Herald Laird of Smiths Grove; his daughters, Christy Goodrum (Mike) of Glasgow and Melissa Nunn (Jerry) of Glasgow; his grandchildren, Spencer, Olivia, Ian and Sophia; and his mother-in-law Doris Herald of Smiths Grove.
