He was predeceased by: his parent Wallace T. Smith, Sr.; and his wife Shirley Ann Boyd Smith. He is survived by: his parent Betty Britt Smith; his children, Chad T. Smith, Michael Smith, Jamie Smith and Amanda "Amy" Waters; his siblings, Charles Smith, James "Jimmy" Smith, Carrie Smith and Peggy Boyd; his grandchildren, Chase Waters, Jagger Waters, Jacob Waters and Jana Wood; and his sister-in-law Mary Boyd Sewell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephew.
