He was predeceased by: his parents, Voldemars Rizenbergs and Dr. Gertrude Vermanis Rizenbergs; his brother Rolands Rizenbergs; his brother-in-law Kenneth Roberts; his parents-in-law, Betsy and E. T. Murphy; and his nieces, Carolyn Batsel Buckles and Emily Murphy Jorgenson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Murphy Rizenbergs; his children, David Rizenbergs (Penny) of Jamestown, KY and Susan Pippin (Allen) of Cary, NC.; his grandchildren, Chris Rizenbergs (Kate) of Lexington, KY, Stephanie Overby (John) of Russell Springs, KY, Nicholas Rizenbergs of Gallatin, TN, Dana Rierson (Cole) of Raleigh, NC and Kathleen Friedley (Alex) of Raleigh, NC.; his great grandchildren, Grayson David Overby, Avery Lucille Gildehaus, Madalyn Grace Overby, Remington James Rierson and James Imants Rizenbergs; his sister Silvija Tyler (Bill) of Jacksonville, FL; his siblings-in-law, Jim Murphy (Karen) of Lexington, KY, Barbara Murphy of Georgetown, KY, Kathy Murphy of Frankfort, KY and Janie Barton (Robert) of Lexington, KY.; his sibling's children, Kathy Slaughter (Kinney), Debra Bosler (Chris), Linda Persandi (George), Cindy Kahler (Mark), Julie Stephen (Don), Amanda Dunn, Sarah Murphy, Elizabeth Winkler (Matt), Rick Rizenbergs (Kim) and Matt Barton (Jen); and his cousin Inese Markman.
