Judge Walter F. Maguire Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2025, at the age of 82, Judge Walter F. Maguire Sr. (Somerset, Kentucky), born in Lexington, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Drummond Maguire and Ethelberta Flippin Maguire; his brother John James "Jim" Maguire; and his aunts, Mary Susan Mewborn and Ruth Flippin Isenbarger.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Williams Maguire of Somerset; his son Walter Flippin Maguire, Jr. (Dustie); his stepdaughters, Mary Susan Wallace (Kevin) of Somerset and Ann Louise Maguire Saich (Michael) of Somerset; his brother Phillip Royce Maguire of Pensacola; his grandchildren, Andrea Williams (Mark), Alyssa Claire Richardson, Daniel Morris Richardson, Hana Juliet Saich, Sophia Mirren Maguire, Stella Flippin Maguire and Margaret Claire Saich; his great grandchildren, Miles Grey, Max Fisher and Mercer Maguire; Claudia Ann Hayes of Inez. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (99 S Central Ave, Somerset, KY 42501). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church - Somerset (99 S Central Ave, Somerset, KY 42501).
