He is survived by : his parents, Jose Ernest Alvarez Gonzalez and Veronica Cruz Salgado; his wife Gabriela Alvarez; his children, Manuel Alvarez and Jacqueline Alvarez; and his brothers, Luis Fernando Alvarez Cruz and Jose Ernesto Alvarez Cruz.
