It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabel Cardin Hornback of Sonora, Kentucky, who passed away on June 19, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Thomas Riggs and Tomie Mae Priddy Riggs; her husbands, James Russell Hornback and John A. Cardin; her grandparents, Bomar, Sally Butler Priddy, Thomas B. and Eliza F. Riggs; her siblings, Frances Hornback, Alma Borders, Calvin Riggs, Charles Riggs and Junior Riggs; and her great great grandchild Everleigh Belle Wilcox.
She is survived by: her children, Russell "Steve" Hornback of Sonora, Marty Hornback of Crestwood, Mona Stiles (Tommy) of Rineyville, Debbie Donnelly (Ed) of Elizabethtown, Martha Lopez of Sonora and Robbie Chitwood of Prospect; and her siblings, Brenda Hornback, Carlos Riggs and Ellis Beeler. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, several sisters- and brothers-in-law; former sons- and daughters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
