He was predeceased by: his parents, John Melvin and Pearl Nickels Melvin. He is survived by: his grandson Tony Whitt Jr.; his sister Darlene Bush; his wife Sandy Taylor Melvin; his daughters, Pam Horton (Jerry) of McDermott, Tina Whitt (Tony) of Rosemount and Vickie Melvin of South Shore; and his brother Joe Melvin of Argilite.
