He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Cox and Bessie Mae Grimes Cox; his wife Mildred Ann Simpson Cox; his son Eddie Cox; and his siblings, Jerry Lee Cox and Patricia Ann English.
He is survived by: his children, Earl Ray Cox of Stanford, Tracy Mills of Hustonville, Linda Mae Pullum of Harrodsburg and Becky Adams of Junction City; and his sister Margaret Underwood of Danville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
