He was predeceased by: his parent Carl Ernst. He is survived by: his parent Bessie Ivagene Williams Ernst; his daughter Shana Ernst of Highland; his grandchildren, Jailyn Kavanaugh (Camren Carmack) of Harrodsburg and Malachi Gooch of Highland; and his siblings, Jimmy Ernst (Penny) of Winchester, Kentucky, Debra Ernst (Michael Jenkins) of Highland and Sherry Cope (Scott) of Byrdstown.
