He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Atkinson and Nannie Bruce Rogers Atkinson; and his siblings, Paul Atkinson and Lucy Anne Crowe. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Atkinson; his daughter Esther Bloom (Michael); his brother Marion Atkinson (Sue); and his grandchildren, Trevor Bloom (Haley), Gavin Bloom and Abbi Bloom. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
