He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Wellington Edmonds and Mary Milby Edmonds. He is survived by: his sons, Tony Edmonds of Summersville and James Edmonds of Powell County; his grandchildren, Paige Edmonds Patterson of Summersville, Saige Edmonds Riggs of Summersville and Cole Allen Edmonds of Summersville; and his sisters, Carol Durrett of Summersville, Linda Scott of Summersville and Phyllis Copley of Hodgenville. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
