He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Brown and Elizabeth Brown (Cleary); his wife Martha Louise Howard; his brothers, Floyd Brown and Waymon Brown; and his son James Burl Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Walden (Joe) of Glasgow, Donna Lyon (Ronnie) of Tompkinsville, Dale Brown (Mary) of Greenbrier, Douglas Brown (Shelia) of Knoxville and Danny Brown (Betty) of Georgia; his siblings, Clurie Brown of Tompkinsville, Beatrice McPherson of Burkesville, Edith McPherson of Louisville and Gerene Garmon (Bob) of Tompkinsville; his grandchildren, Cynthia Brooks, Walden, Holly York, Cody Brown, Jesse Brown, Casey Brown, Barrett Brown, Payton Brown, Parker Brown, Erica Brumitte and Amy Lyon; and his niece Janice Kesslar. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
