She was predeceased by: her parents, John S. Gearlds and Effie Biggerstaff Gearlds; her siblings, Shelba Kirkpatrick, Mary Cleary, Rea Gearlds and Reggie Gearlds; and her daughter-in-law Kandie Wood Shirley.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Shirley; her children, Frankie Shirley (Daletta) of Tompkinsville, Jimmy Shirley (Pamela) of Tompkinsville and Phyllis Hogan of Elizabethtown; her daughter-in-law Cindy Corbin; her siblings, Jarene Sneed of Glasgow and Max "Tip" Gearlds of Tompkinsville; her grandchildren, Heather Gregory (Brian) of Bowling Green, Emily (Zach Pruitt) of Tompkinsville, Jesse Shirley (Kayla Tallent) of Tompkinsville, John Taylor Shirley (Lauryn Chapman) of Tompkinsville, Jacob Shirley (Callie Dubree) of Tompkinsville and Hannah Hogan of Glasgow; and her great grandchild Kendall Gregory.
