It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Troy Jones (Tompkinsville, Kentucky), who passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In bidding James Troy adieu, let us not mourn the silence that now fills the spaces James Troy once occupied, but rather celebrate the vibrant colors he painted upon the canvas of our lives. For while he may have departed from this earthly realm, his spirit remains a beacon of light, guiding us through the darkest of nights.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James "Harrison" Jones and Mattie "Willie" Marie Asberry Jones; and his siblings, Lee Roy Jones, Bobby Dean Jones and Barbara Ann Goolsby.

He is survived by : his siblings, Hilda Aubin of Tompkinsville, Johnny Ray Jones (Janet) of Glasgow and Joyce Jones Mooneyhan (George) of Springfield, Tennessee..

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bartley & Sons - Tompkinsville (204 Columbia Ave, Tompkinsville, KY 42167). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at the Monroe County Memorial.
