With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kristie Shannon Proffitt of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, born in Macon, Tennessee, who passed away on December 25, 2021 at the age of 48. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josie Brooks (Dickens) and Herman Brooks; her half-siblings, Joan Haynes, Shirley Boles and Gary Binon; her mother-in-law Barbara Proffitt (Hood); and her nephew Andrew Brooks.
She is survived by: her husband James Proffitt; her children, Jaimie Yokley (Ryan) of Tompkinsville, KY and Josh Proffitt of Tompkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Jayse, Brookelyn and Briley Yokley; her brothers, Tony Brooks (Tracy) and Christopher Brooks of Lafayette, TN; her half-siblings, Juanita Hire of Bowling Green, KY and Orval Brooks of Glasgow, KY; and her father-in-law Rondal Proffitt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kristie's memory may be made for funeral expenses.
