It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Pinckley of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, born in Gamaliel, Kentucky, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amie Craig (Proffitt) and Glen Monroe Craig; her spouse Bratton Pinckley; and her siblings, Mae Van Petett, Virginia Craig and Earl Lawrence Craig.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Pippa Pinckley-Stewart (Dennis) and Teena Steen (Billy Joe); her grandchildren, Barrett Hammer (Hilary) and Brianna Grider (Bradley); her great grandchildren, Caden, Conlee, Corbin, Cara and Bratton; and her siblings, Willadean Carter of Tompkinsville, KY, Glenda Gregory of Georgetown, KY and Jimmie Craig of Gamaliel, KY..
In lieu of flowers, donations in Laverne's memory may be made to Monroe County Retired Teachers Scholarship Fund or to Oak Hill Cemetery.
