He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Kirby and Lucille Kirby; his wife Pauline Kirby; his daughter Peggy Franxman; and his brothers, Harry Kirby, Elliott Kirby and Robert Kirby.
He is survived by: his children, Denning Kirby Jr., John Kirby (Judy) and Debbie Cryer (Mike); and his brother David Kirby (Marlene). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
