He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hughes and Mabel Thompson Hughes; his wife Carol Lee Cornett Hughes; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Walker (Bill) and John Norris.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Zentmeyer (Jim) of Cincinnati and George P. Hughes of Williamstown; his siblings, Philip Hughes, Ralph Hughes, Jr. (Sue), Gary Hughes (Debbie), Jean Schappacher (Roy) and Alice Norris; and his grandchildren, Brooke, Grant and Catherine Zentmeyer. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
