He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Fannie Mae; his siblings, Fred Monroe, Roy Delphin, Elbert Ruford, John Delbert, Roscoe Lemon Rush and Georgia Pearl; his grandson James Michael Rush; and also Hendrix.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jean; his children, James Brent Rush (Catherine) and Tammy Cress (James); and his grandchildren, Francis Marie Rush, Jillian Bridgid Rush, Emily Paige Cress, Hunter James Cress and Sally Grace Cress.
