He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Newman Kirkland, Sr. and Thelma Dillon Kirkland; his sons, John Paul Kirkland, Brent and Brad Kirkland; his sister Jane Kirkland Black; his sister-in-law Brenda Hord Kirkland; and his niece Kari Kirkland Thacker.
He is survived by: his sons, Bret Kirkland (Dee Gee Roe) and Trevor Kirkland (Rachel); his close friend Betty Robinson; his grandchildren, Hannah Marie Kirkland, Sarah Grace Kirkland and Zachary Kirkland; his brother Keith Kirkland; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Harmon Kirkland; his nephews, Brian Wallingford and Pat Brannen; his niece Katie Kirkland; and his friend Johnny Ray Hord. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church (1856 Elizaville Ave, Flemingsburg, KY 41041). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
