He was predeceased by: his parents, Bradley Gross and Elizabeth Baker Gross; his siblings, Rev. James V. Gross, Cecil Gross, John M. Gross, Troy Gross, Hubert Gross, Della Gross and Mahalia Gross Sullivan; his former wife Mary Elaine Bennett Gross; and his son-in-law Billy Spencer Blanton.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Larue Hall Gross of Wallins Creek; his children, Kimberly Gross Blanton of Wallins Creek, Patricia Golick of Wallins Creek, Bob Gross (Tammy) of Lexington, KY, Patrick Gross (Shannon) of Southern Pines, NC and Mike Gross (Michelle) of Taylorsville, KY.; his grandchildren, Naomi Gross Crase (Gene), Alaina Gross Jewell (Erik), Sarah Gross Noel (Chadwick), Mariah Howard (Jon), Marissa Howard, Jaron Gross, Alisha Rhymer, Joshua Golick and Micah Gross; his great grandchildren, C. J. Crase, Zoe Crase, Jacob Jewell, Janae Jewell, Jasmine Jewell and Brenten Edward McKinley Gross; and his brother Raymond Gross (Glenda) of Columbus, Mississippi. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
