She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah V. Norton and Cora May McCubbins Norton; and her husband Joseph A. Mays. She is survived by: her siblings, Gilbert E., Harold V. Norton and Genevieve Meador; her daughter-in-law Diane Mays; her great grandchild Zachary Chappell; her children, William Joseph Mays of Webster, Edna Jean Hobbs (Tony) of Hardinsburg, Gayla Sue Benoit (Nolan) of Orange, TX and Carol Ann Bland (Eddie Robinson) of Harned; her grandchildren, William David Mays (Anne), James Bryan Mays (Cindy), Joshua Neil Hobbs (Lamanda), Thomas Dale Hobbs (Kate), Carla Ann Chappell and Lisa Marie Simpson (Shaun); her great grandchildren, Lola Mays, Xavi, Nathan Arriola, Lillian, Daisy Mays, Camden, Claudia Hobbs, Adeline, Eleanor Hobbs, Taylor, Jacob Chappell and Dylan Simpson; her great great grandchildren, Maximus, Jakobi Hupp and Laiken Chappell; and her sister Anna Lou Lawson (Joe) of Brandenburg, KY. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
