She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan F. Melton and Muriel Caudill Melton; and her sister Virginia Carol Combs. She is survived by: her children, Margaret Carol (Tony Jenkins) and Paul Darren (Jenny Akers); her husband Danny Ray Akers; her son Danny Wayne Akers; her grandchildren, Dakota Akers (Alley), Olivia (Chuck Easterling), Danielle (Kyle Hammons), Austin (Shae Akers), Lane Jenkins (Tina), Allie (Anthony Wisecup), Caitlyn (Robert Allen), Baylee Akers (Jordan), Dylan Akers and Braden Akers; and her great grandchildren, Rylan Jenkins, Henry Hammons, Khloe Hammons, Aiden Hammons, Ryan Watkins, Ethan Leigh, Willow Leigh, Logan Wisecup and Maddox Easterling.
