He was predeceased by: his parents, Powell Smith and Nickeytie Dawson Smith; his former wives, India Cantrell Smith and Lottie Luker Smith; and his siblings, Ruby Landford, Bessie Holbrook, Monnie Montgomery, Nancy Pendleton, Ramey Harkless Smith, James B. Smith and Doranto "Bud" Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Lois G. Smith of West Liberty; his son Timothy Junior Smith (Anita) of Alabama; his grandsons, Chad Smith and Brad (Cessily Smith); his great grandchildren, Gian Smith and Branson Smith; his stepchildren, Gail, Danny Burden, Howell Evans of Alabama, Ron of Ohio, Teri Robbins of Ohio, Karin of Ohio, Bill Brown of Ohio and Robyn Kidder of Ohio; and his friends, Red and Lois. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
