He was predeceased by: his father James Gary Potter; and his brother Gary Lynn Potter. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Sue Prater Potter; his brother Ralph; his sisters-in-law, Janice Potter of Georgetown, KY and Sandra Potter of Morehead, KY; his aunt Florence Prater of West Liberty, KY; and his uncles, Hershell (Christy Potter), Lannie (Sheila Prater) and Donald (Carolyn Prater).
