He was predeceased by : his parents, Elbert Worley and Laura Leona Wampler Day; and his siblings, Mildred Jane Ogg, Pearl Lee Day, Emily Rachel Pack, Peggie Gertrude Hampton, Virginia Jean Sizemore, James Worley Day, Paul Franklin Day, Curtis Elmo Day, Carl Millard Day and Ronald Henry Day.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley A. Day of Whitco, Kentucky; his children, Alicia Gail Day Cook (Wendell) of Colson, Laura Anne Whitaker of Jenkins and Charles Elbert Day of Whitco, Kentucky; his brother Floyd Ralph Day of Charlestown, Indiana.; and his grandchildren, Brian Cook, Amy Cook, Deanna Whitaker, Savanna Whitaker, Joseph Day and Adam Day.
