He is survived by: his parent Sadie Meade Bates; his wife Sharon Meade; his daughters, Eugenia Duker (Harold) of Mayking and Robyn Jones (Charles) of Norton, Virginia; his siblings, Charles Meade of Knott County, Judy Webb of Webb Branch and Anna Ruth Sanders of Jenkins; his grandchildren, Brittney Ducker, Brett Levi Ducker and Sophie Jones; and his great grandchild Michael Hayes.
