She was predeceased by: her parents, George B. Ison and Callie Fields Ison; her husband Billy Harold Whitaker; and her siblings, Cas Ison of Michigan, Gertrude Ison of Ohio, Junie Turner of Shelbyville, Jodie Copley of Ohio, Minuard Ison, Zennith Ison, Coburn Ison, James Ison, Mary Halcomb, Frankie Sebastian and Jeanetta HIckman.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Whitaker (Kendra) of Kings Mountain, Lisa Braswell (Joe Fulks) of Little Cowan and Lana Stacy (J. D.) of Emmalena; and her grandchildren, Emily Whitaker, Katie Braswell-Miller (McKenzie) of Viper, Seth Whitaker of Kings Mountain, Logan Stacy of Emmalena and Hayden Stacy of Emmalena.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center.
