It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louie Cecil Cordell (Whitley City, Kentucky), who passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Aubrey Cordell and Rennie Musgrove Cordell; his children, Lydell Cordell and Sheila Cordell; his brothers, David Cordell, Aubrey Cordell, Jr. and Jack Cordell; and his brother-in-law Frank Privett.

He is survived by : the mother of his children Shirley Cordell; his children, Louie "Duke" Cordell, Jr., Sharree Payne (James), Cheryl Bozeman (Justin), Sharon Osborn (Carl), Stacia Jones (Silas), Stephanie Thompson, Chaska Cordell and Heather Cordell; his sister Janice Privett; and his sisters-in-law, Kaye Cordell and Lena Cordell. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
