He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Jasper Tapley and Vertie Tapley (Watters); his wife Retha Tapley (Powell); his siblings, Donald Tapley, Flora Boyatt (Harvey), Hazel Slaven (Don) and Sheila Thompson; his brother-in-law Doyle Winchester; his daughter Tonya Michelle Dobbs (Bobby Coomer) of Somerset, Kentucky; his siblings, Jim Tapley (Judy) of Stearns, Kentucky and Vella Winchester of Stearns, Kentucky; his brother-in-law James Thompson; his grandchildren, Brandon Roy and Hunter Dobbs; and his great grandchild Joziah Silas Dale Roy.
