He is survived by: his wife Dolores Darpel; his children, Richard "Rick" Joseph Ehlman III (Dwana), Sandy Rose Ehlman and Lynn Marie Ehlman Timmerding (Pat); and his son-in-law Tim Curl. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
A Mass was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar St. Pius X Church (348 Dudley Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017). A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North (205 Eibeck Ln, Williamstown, KY 41097).
