She was predeceased by : her parents, Adrian Hord and Pauline Applegate Hord; her husband Ray Howell; and her siblings, Edwin Hord, John Hord, Erma Hook, Merle Hord and Gayle Hord.

She is survived by : her sister Phyllis Kirkland of Mount Sterling; and her sister-in-law Geraldine Porter. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home (150 W Water St, Flemingsburg, KY 41041). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
