He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Sr. Walthour and Cleona Springer Walthour; his wife Margaret "Peg" Walthour; his sisters, Shirley Lopes and Lois Wentzel; and his grandson Ben Potter.

He is survived by : his children, Kathy Simpson (Harry) of Irmo, Rev. Dave Walthour of Lebanon and Cyndi Downing (Mike) of Winchester; his grandchildren, Matthew Potter (Jenny) of Irmo, SC, Alli Ford of Lexington, Grace Best (Andrew) of Totnes, England, John Walthour (Erin) of Lebanon, NH, Marli Green (Alex) of Lexington and Luke Walthour (Mira) of Preston, NJ; and his sister Galia Tugholski. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
