He was predeceased by : his parents, Glen Diedrich and Ruth Griffith Diedrich; and his son Erick Diedrich. He is survived by : his wife Alice Schmidt Diedrich; his daughters, Natalie Blum (Jeromy) and Sarah Diedrich; his stepson Deacon Griffith; his grandchild Parker Blum; and his sisters, Marsha Diedrich and Karen LaFrance.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #45.
