He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald, Sr. Abney and Norma Nell Abney (Diggs); and his brother Michael Abney. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Abney (Bradley); his children, Christopher Abney and Rachel Abney; his stepsons, Perry McNeely, Jr. and John McNeely; his grandson Christopher Abney; his stepgrandchildren, Melissa McNeely, Steven McNeely, Cameron Burton, Joshua McNeely and Emily McNeely; and his siblings, Peggy A. Roberts and Russell Abney.
