He was predeceased by: his wife Angie Morse Blount; his daughter Kristy Louise Blount; and his parents, Robert Bodene Blount and Velma Faye Ham Blount. He is survived by: his close friend Linda Hansen; his children, Robert Bodene Blount, III, Gregory Scott Blount, Stacy Lacombe, Blake Hansen and Brenna Hansen; and his siblings, Rasmus Samuel Blount, David Curtis Blount and Roberta Denise Blount. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
