It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay W. Connolly of Acadiana, Louisiana, born in Kearny, New Jersey, who passed away on February 24, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim Connolly and Jean Barr Connolly; and his sisters, Joyce Heaton Connolly and Jacque Koenigs. He is survived by : his wife Tonya Butts Connolly of Lafayette; his children, Jeanelle Connolly Seals (Greg) of Witchita, KS, Ashley Connolly Weaver (Erik) of Frisco, TX, Jeff Connolly (Gretchen) of Witchita, KS and Brandon Connolly (Ashley Carlson) of Lafayette; his sisters, Jill Stauss (Robert) of Witchita, KS and Jan Hale Mansfield of Witchita, KS; his brother-in-law Gary Koenigs of Witchita, KS; and his grandchildren, Melissa Mouton (Joseph), Jay Paul Connolly, Beau Connolly (Angela), Holly Connolly, Mariah Jo Schlosser, Colt Teter (Caroline), Ashley Teter-Wieter (Kyle), Tyson Carter (Brittany), Breara Wenzel (Matt), Caleb Connolly, Trevor Connolly, Jayden Connolly, Elle Weaver, Emma Weaver and Jackson Weaver. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.
