It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barney Luther Atkins Jr. (Alexandria, Louisiana), born in Jonesville, Louisiana, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Barney Luther Atkins, Sr. and Levia Lilly Atkins; and his sister Ginger Parish. He is survived by : his wife Suzanne Atkins; his children, Barney L. "Luke" Atkins, III (Melissa), Nikki Pino (James), Christine Descant (Shane) and Alane Atkins; his grandchildren, Haylea Ewing, Jackson Descant, Justin Descant, Austin Descant, Taylor Pino and Brandon Pino; his great grandchild Navy Magalhaes; and his brother Bill Atkins.
