It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Calaiyah Kennedy Barfield (Alexandria, Louisiana), who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 13, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her mother Courtney Barfield of Children's Hospital; her stepfather McArthur Robertson, Jr.; her sister Kamyra Robertson; her grandmother Sylvia J. Davis; her aunts, Tarmeka Jenkins, Latonya McIntosh (Darius McIntosh), Latiffany Jenkins, Shawasa Taylor-Finerson and Lauren Barfied; her godmothers, Lauren Barfied, Shawasa Taylor-Finerson, Latiffany Jenkins, Latonya McIntosh (Darius McIntosh) and Tarmeka Jenkins; and her uncles, Jason Barfield, Eric Barfield (Nicole Bush) and Cory Barfield. She is also survived by great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Viewing was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Starlight Baptist Church (2628 Overton St, Alexandria, LA 71301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
