He was predeceased by: his parents, Teresa Rios-Rios and Nicolas Cruz-Hilerio. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Pauline Cruz; his children, Maile Cruz Saucier (Brandon Saucier), Joshua Taino Cruz (Kate Martin) and Nani'Kiele Tiare Cruz; his sister Monsy Cruz-Rios; his nephews, Alexis Perez-Cruz, Alvin Perez-Cruz and Alland Perez-Cruz; and his siblings, Noemi "Tata" Cruz and Orlando "Macho" Cruz.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Central Louisiana Veterans' Cemetery (3348 University Pkwy, Leesville, LA 71446).
