He is survived by: his wife Marie Anderson; his children, Davita Anderson, David Anderson, Jr. and Sharon Jones (Robert); his stepdaughters, Jacquelin Leigh Watt (Eddie) and Lisa Doyal (Greg); his grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson Melton (Stuart), Angelea Jones, Carter Doyal and Hayden Doyal; and his great grandchildren, Anderson Grace Melton, Anna Dale Melton and Andon Melton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
