With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald K. Cox Sr. (Bastrop, Louisiana), who passed away on August 10, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Lee Cox; his parents, Ada Yarbrough Cox and John K. Cox; his siblings, Johnnie Cox, Lucille Riels, Gene Cox, Ola Mae Hodge, Raymond Cox, Maggie Carter and Herman Cox; and his son-in-law Jay Robinson.
He is survived by: his children, Donald K. Cox, Jr. (Debbie), Ronnie Keith Cox (Mary) and Cheryl DeLane Robinson; his grandchildren, Joshua Cox (April), Parea Hall (Brandon), Trent Cox (Brittney), Mason Robinson, Delaney Mayo, Mya Robinson, Natalia Fowler (Matt), D. J. Albritton and Cole Maples (Molly); and his siblings, Lawrence Cox and Barbara Ann Cox (Barney). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Due to the health concerns surrounding the pandemic, the family encourages everyone to wear a mask to visitation and services in addition to practicing safe social distancing.
