He was predeceased by: his parents, Julis Robert Scroggins and Cora Waite Scroggins; his wife Connie Griffis Scroggins; and his siblings, Robert Martin Scroggins, Howard Scroggins, James Scroggins, Allen Scroggins, Myrtle Lee Meeks, Hixie Sue Bounds and Agnes Carter.

He is survived by: his sons, Floyd Michael Scroggins (Dawn), Thomas Earl Scroggins (Joy) and Robert Calvin "Bo" Scroggins (Cindy); his grandchildren, Cody Michael Scroggins and Marissa Joy Scroggins; his great grandchildren, Waylon Thomas Scroggins and Ada Clair Stewart; and his sisters, Deloris Irene May, Ada Beatrice Neely and Bertha Lou Fortune.
