She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Lee Henley Carter and Allen B. Carter, Sr.; her husband Marvin E. Crook, Jr.; her children, Marvin Allen Crook and Brenda Lee Crook Lewis; and her siblings, Thelma Carter, William Carter (Cleo), Bud Carter (Lucile), Cecil Carter and Bennie Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Patricia Crook Crowe (Cory) and Bennie Stephen Crook; her stepson Alfred Marvin Haring (Johanna); her grandson Joseph Michael Roan (Melissa); her great grandchildren, Mirabella and Cecily Roan; and her sister-in-law Odessa Carter Dolan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
