She was predeceased by: her parents, O. Z. Yates and Herman Yates; her brothers, Donald Yates and Shelby Yates; her sisters-in-law, Margie Faye McCrary and Betty Jean Linzay; and her nephew Stephen Ray "Goob" Yates.

She is survived by: her husband Tommy "Bo" Johnston; her children, Nicole White (Damon) of Bossier, LA and Brandon Johnston (Christina) of Sterlington, LA; her siblings-in-law, Becky Yates, Dee Yates of Bastrop, LA and B. W. Johnston of El Dorado, AR; and her grandchildren, Kylie White, Brayden White, Addyson White, Kaitlynn Johnston and Landon Johnston.
