With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelvia Jean Chain Crook of Bastrop, Louisiana, who passed away on October 26, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George P. Chain and Velma Hogue Chain; her husband Thomas L. Crook; and her brother Jimmy G. Chain. She is survived by: her children, Karen D. Murphy, Joni M. Murphy (Mark Gross) and Joel K. Murphy; her stepchildren, Edward W. Crook (Eddie), William E. Crook (Billy) and Clarissa Crook Gallo; her grandchildren, Courtney D. Crook, Shelvia Maureen Gross, Victoria Glynn Gross, Cade L. Murphy, Brooke S. Murphy, Joshua K. Gallo and Nicholas B. Gallo; and her siblings, George A. Chain (Ruth), Shirley Ann Richards (Lloyd W.) and Dottie Sue Musgrove (Stephen L.). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
