Sybil left this world on September 30, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis C. Scoggins and Sadie Adcock Scoggins; her siblings, Aubrey, Eldred, Billy, Jack Scoggins and Margaret Nolan; and her grandson Randall Stevenson.
She is survived by: her significant other LeRoy A. Stevenson; her children, Randall Stevenson (Claire) of Leawood and Donya Riles (Ross) of Bastrop, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Heith Anderson, Jerred Anderson, Amelia Yeldell, Christian Stevenson and Carmen Stevenson; her great grandchildren, Presley, Peyton, Baylor, Ellis, Briar, Barrett, Claiborne and Mateo; and her sisters, Hazel Lambert, Nancy Sivils and Sadie Strahan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home (2016 E Madison Ave, Bastrop, LA 71220).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
