She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Cecil McDaniel and Ellie Mae Smith McDaniel; her brothers, Willie "Buddy" McDaniel and Woodrow "Sonny Boy" McDaniel; her grandson Christopher Tate; and her son-in-law William Robert "Billy" Eppinette.
She is survived by: her husband James Edgar Barfield; her daughters, Teri Barfield Foster and Tina Barfield Eppinette; her granddaughter Jamie Lynn Eppinette Whitehead (William); her great grandchild Kira Serenity Whitehead; and her siblings, Barbara Russell and Jimmy McDaniel (Shirley). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
